About Us
London CC CIC, also known as the London Cycling Club (Londra Bisiklet Kulübü), is an award-winning, not-for-profit cycling organisation based in Enfield, North London. Since our founding in May 2019, we have been dedicated to inspiring and enabling people to cycle and adapt active lifestyle.
We believe cycling is more than transport or exercise. It’s a powerful tool for improving physical and mental wellbeing, building confidence, reducing isolation, and bringing communities together. Through our inclusive, welcoming programmes, we help people discover the freedom, independence, and joy that cycling can offer.
Our Story
London CC CIC was founded by Ozgur Korkmaz, whose journey began with a 46 day solo cycle from London to Istanbul in 2018. Along the way, Ozgur saw first hand how cycling can connect people, overcome barriers, and change lives. Returning home, he noticed a lack of accessible cycling opportunities particularly for Turkish and Kurdish speaking communities in North London.
What started as a small, grassroots initiative has grown into a well-established, three community-led cycling hubs. Today, London CC CIC supports people from Edmonton, Enfield, and across wider North London through free bike borrowing schemes, cycle training, maintenance workshops, inclusive group rides, and wellbeing activities, always shaped by the needs and voices of the communities we serve.
Our mission remains simple: to remove barriers to cycling and help build healthier, more connected communities.
